Hear from J. C. Evans, an industry expert in the container world.  J.C. will speak to Sydney's immense potential as Canada's East Coast Mega Hub.  Emphasis will be put on the competitive advantage of a new build in an uncongested portside.  In particular, he will address the technological advancements making Sydney a profitable option for terminal operators and shipping lines, capable of handling the ultra large container vessels.   

JAMES C. EVANS worked as a Contract stevedore superintendent in Los Angeles/ Long Beach harbor and supervised RO-RO, Elevator, Breakbulk and Pure bulk vessel and terminal operations. He was employed by Maersk Pacific Limited, Maersk-Sealand, and Maersk line as stevedore superintendent and Vessel and Marine terminal operations management, in Long Beach California and then assumed the management role with Intermodal management and railroad contract negotiations for Maersk Line and Maersk terminals.

Mr. Evans was employed as Director/ Vice President of Inland Procurement for CMA-CGM in Norfolk Virginia, responsible for negotiation of all inland transportation contracts for railroad, drayage, depot and barge service providers. He is currently providing transportation consulting services as James C Evans LLC from office located in Michigan.
